Changes to chase sequence

Having filmed our chase sequence a few change was made to the it which are not included on the story board, firstly we were unable to film the 2nd shot because the shop keeper didn't allow us to film his shop , so instead we used shot 3 which is just the actor running out the shop.We cut out shot out shot 7 and shot 9 because it was unnecessary in terms of the narrative and add shots of the actors chasing each other to establish the idea of a chase better we also added a 3rd actor who was used as an obstruction to make make the chase look more realistic and also for comical effect.Also we used fades instead of cuts as cuts made it look choppy and by using fade it made it look more smooth and we only used 2 cuts for the whole sequence.

The plot of chase squence

-Thief steals from a newagent, but audience dont know what he has taken
-Theif bumps into passer-by
-Passer-by shouts "oi" at thief
-Passer-by chases thief (chase starts)
-Passer-by chases thief through, park, road etc.
-Tief hides behind telephone box,and the passer-by runs passed looking for thief
-Thief comes out from hiding, takes out drink from under his jumper goes to sit down on a bench, open the drink and the drink explodes in his face.

first ever practice video

From doing this practice I learnt how to do different types of camera shot, such as tilt, over the shoulder shot, which seemed to work very effectively. We were able to edit the video on the program imovie which allowed us cut out thing we didn't want and put music onto our video. It was allowed us to experiment with special effects, such as speeding up some shot and using slow motion. this has been very useful in helping me develop idea for my further projects.
